RANSOMVILLE, NY – Due to the abundantly wet spring season, and its effects on the speedway grounds, the Ransomville Speedway has canceled the racing program for May 19th presented by Johnston’s Restaurant, Rutland-Corwin Funeral Home, and Kubiniec Plumbing. Also canceled is the scheduled Tuesday night practice session for May 23rd.
“We are working as hard as we can to provide the best racing surface for our drivers and give the fans the best racing possible” stated Ransomville Speedway General Manager Jenn Martin. “We prioritize driver and fan safety” Martin added.
To accommodate the schedule, we are pushing back the double features for the Street Stocks and Novice Sportsman to May 26th. Double features for the Sportsman will be held on June 2nd as part of the Patriot Sprint Tour event. Double features for the 358 Modifieds will take place on June 9th. The autograph session, originally scheduled for June 9th will now be moved to June 16th.
The 60th season of racing at the Big R will continue on Friday, May 26th as United Materials LLC and Snyder Industries presents Military Appreciation Night. All veterans and members of the military will receive free admission with proper ID. A full card of racing will be presented plus double features for the Street Stocks and Novice Sportsman. Gates will swing open in the pits at 5:00 pm with grandstands opening at 6:00 pm with racing action starting at 7:15 pm.
